The BaByliss ST240E Smooth Glide 230 is a compact / reliable flat iron built around ceramic plates with a tourmaline coating / so it slides through the hair instead of dragging on it. It heats up in about 30 seconds and offers two working temperatures — 180°C for fine or coloured hair and 230°C for thick / resistant or wavy hair. The 12 cm long / 2.5 cm wide plates cover a good-sized section with each pass / while the 2 metre swivel cord makes it easy to move around your head without tangling. A 60-minute automatic switch-off adds peace of mind if you leave the house in a hurry. At only 215 g it is light enough for daily use and for travel. Tip: always apply a heat protectant and straighten in thin / fully dry sections.
