The AnyCast M4 Plus turns any television, projector or monitor with a spare HDMI socket into a wireless screen for your phone, tablet or laptop. Plug it in, power it from the supplied micro USB cable, and whatever is on your device appears on the big screen over Wi-Fi with no HDMI lead running across the room. It supports every mainstream mirroring standard — Miracast for Android and Windows, AirPlay for iPhone, iPad and Mac, DLNA for media streaming, plus EZCast and EZMirror — and outputs Full HD 1920 by 1080. Inside is a Rockchip RK3036 dual-core processor with 128 megabytes of memory running embedded Linux, and the micro USB cable doubles as a high-gain external antenna, which is why range holds up to about ten metres as long as you spread the antenna tail out rather than leaving it coiled. It is ideal for presentations in an office or classroom, showing photos and videos from a phone to the family, mirroring YouTube, or putting a laptop screen on a projector. Two points worth knowing before you buy: this is a Wi-Fi device and does not contain Bluetooth, and it does not carry HDCP, so copy-protected apps such as Netflix, Shahid VIP and OSN Plus will not mirror through it. Power it from a 5 volt 1 ampere wall charger rather than a television USB port for the most stable connection.
