The Castle WMH-1420-BK is a 14 kg semi automatic twin tub washing machine from the Castle Air Dry series, and it is one of the largest budget washers Radio Talaat carries. The left hand tub takes a full 14 kg wash load while the separate right hand basket spins up to 10 kg dry, so a second batch can be washing while the first one is being spun. Four mechanical knobs run everything: a wash timer of up to 15 minutes, a wash selector, a cycle selector that switches between normal, gentle and drain, and an independent spin timer of up to 5 minutes. Because it fills manually from a tap, bucket or tank, it keeps working through the weak water pressure and unstable supply common in older Cairo and Delta buildings. The cabinet measures 90 cm wide, 105 cm high and 54 cm deep and is built from impact resistant moulded plastic with two glossy black tempered glass lids, so nothing rusts on a wet balcony or roof.
