This step voltage transformer lets equipment designed for a different mains voltage run safely on the Egyptian 220 V supply, and equally lets 220 V equipment run from a lower voltage tap. Copper windings on a laminated core give it a long service life with no electronics to fail. Match the transformer capacity to the wattage of the appliance, never exceed the rated output, and keep the unit in a ventilated place because transformers of this type get warm in normal use.
