The Rifland 7478 is a Universal Ku-band Quad LNB built for the standard Egyptian satellite installation on the 7° West cluster, where Nilesat 201, Nilesat 301 and Eutelsat 7 West A sit together. It covers the full universal input range of 10.70 to 12.75 GHz and converts it down to the 950 to 2150 MHz intermediate frequency your receiver expects, switching between the 9.75 GHz and 10.60 GHz local oscillators on the 22 kHz tone and between vertical and horizontal polarity on the 13 and 18 volt supply from the receiver. Four independent outputs feed four receivers from one dish without a multiswitch, which makes it the usual fit for a villa, a small building floor, or a café with several screens. The die-cast RF chamber sits inside a UV-stabilised weatherproof shell with a sealed F-connector boot, so it holds up to Egyptian summer heat and to winter rain on an exposed roof. Set the skew angle before tightening the clamp, and check the signal quality bar on the receiver rather than the signal strength bar, because quality is what determines a stable picture.
