The RL-004 is a simple, budget-friendly wired intercom handset built for buildings that need reliable internal talk without a telephone line. It supports four-way conversation, so a gate, a reception, an office and a store room can all reach each other over a single ordinary two-pair cable run of up to 200 metres. The station operates from the standard 220 to 240 volt 50 Hz mains supply and needs no SIM, no subscription and no call charges, which is why it is popular in Egyptian villas, small factories, warehouses, workshops, clinics and shops. Installation is quick because there is no programming: connect the pairs to the screw terminals, fix the bracket to the wall and the line is live.
