The Tornado TWE-TLD13RSS is a 13 kg top loading washing machine from El Araby Group, and it is aimed at the large Egyptian household that washes blankets, prayer mats and full sets of bed linen rather than small daily loads. A DDM direct drive inverter motor turns the cyclone pulsator with no belt to stretch, which keeps the wash quiet and the standby draw at zero. Eleven programmes cover Normal, Cotton, Rapid Wash, Sensitive, Jeans, Wool, Blanket, Baby Care, Heavy, Sports Wear and Tub Clean, and everything is selected from a digital touch screen on the top console. Two inlets take cold and hot water, a built in drain pump lets it discharge into a high waste pipe, and the Super Spin Dry function can be set to 30, 60 or 90 minutes. The stainless steel body and black glass lid look far more expensive than the price, and the stainless anti-rust tub, crystal lint filter and anti bacterial fan keep it hygienic.
