Toshiba's RLA2-90MG5GE(MG)-EM gives you the same 90 cm Morandi Grey cooker as the digital model for 2,000 EGP less, with mechanical controls instead of a screen. The stainless steel top carries five burners under heavy cast iron supports, with a triple-ring burner in the centre for a wide stock pot, and full flame-failure safety cuts the gas on the hob and in the oven if a flame goes out. Ignition is fully automatic on every burner.

Inside, a convection fan spreads the heat evenly so trays on both levels brown at the same rate, and a gas grill with a rotisserie spit handles the roast chicken. The double glass door keeps the outside cooler and the oven lamp lets you check without opening up. A timer knob and separate switches for the fan, lamp and spit keep everything simple to use.
