This Unitex indoor column speaker packs a vertical array of four small full range drivers into a slim wall mounted enclosure rated at 10 watts. The column format narrows vertical dispersion and widens horizontal coverage, which keeps sound off the ceiling and floor and greatly improves speech clarity in reverberant rooms such as mosque prayer halls, school classrooms, hospital corridors, offices and reception areas. A built in line transformer allows the unit to sit on a 100 volt or 70 volt distribution loop so dozens of speakers can share one mixer amplifier over ordinary two core cable. The supplied bracket lets you tilt the column downwards towards the listeners. Mount it about two and a half metres high, keep it clear of microphones to avoid feedback, and check total system tapping against amplifier power.
