Unitex Single-Tube Round-Base Microphone Stand, Telescopic, Black and Silver, MA1

The Unitex MA1 is the classic Indian-built table microphone stand: one chrome telescopic tube rising from a heavy cast round base, with a plastic locking collar that sets any height between 350 and 530 mm. It is the stand you see on a mosque minbar, a conference table, a lecture podium and a radio desk, and the reason it stays the default is the base. At around 2 kg of cast steel it simply does not move when someone pulls the microphone cable, which is what separates a working PA stand from a light imitation that tips over mid-announcement. The mount is the universal 5/8 inch 27 TPI public address thread, so it takes Unitex, Ahuja, Shure, Sennheiser, Boya and every standard handheld or gooseneck microphone, and a cheap screw adapter drops it to 3/8 inch if needed. The clip rotates on the thread and angles on its joint to aim the capsule at the speaker's mouth.
