Carbon infrared is a different kind of heat from anything else in this range. The carbon filament tube emits far infrared, the same long wavelength the sun warms you with, and it is absorbed by skin and furniture rather than by the air — so the Veito feels warm on the body within a second or two of switching on, does not dry the room out, and keeps working with a door open or a window cracked, where a fan heater would be wasted. At 1200 W with two settings of 600 W and 1200 W it covers 15 m² and puts out 6000 BTU/h, drawing about half what a 2000 W convector needs for the same felt warmth. The build is why it costs what it does: a lightweight anodised aluminium body with a chrome-plated front grille and an anodised reflector, weighing only 2 kg, with a carbon element rated for up to 10,000 hours. A tip-over switch shuts it down automatically if it goes over, and overheat protection backs that up. 30 cm square base, 70 cm tall, CE and TÜV/GS certified.
