The View Sound VK-217 is a horn loudspeaker built for long-throw voice projection in open and semi-open areas. The horn flare concentrates acoustic energy into a narrow forward beam, so speech carries much further than it would from a cone speaker of similar power, and it stays intelligible against traffic, machinery and wind noise. Typical installations include mosque minarets and courtyards, factory floors and yards, warehouses, workshops, school playgrounds, farms, construction sites, car parks and building site gates. It connects on a two-wire 100 V line loop from a mixer amplifier, letting many horns run from one unit over long cable runs. Mount it on the supplied swivel bracket, aim it along the coverage axis rather than straight down, and avoid pointing horns at each other.
