At 55 x 55 x 85 cm the Long Life Lux Plus 4563198466010 is made for a small Egyptian kitchen or as a second cooker, in a painted white or black finish that stays looking clean more easily than stainless steel. Its four cup burners — one large and three smaller — sit on painted iron grids under a thermal glass lid, with automatic ignition at the cooktop burners. The gas oven is more generous than the price suggests: a turbo fan for even heat, an interior lamp, a real gas grill with a turnspit and skewer for a whole chicken, and a thermal glass door, with a tray, wire rack and levelling legs supplied. The controls are plain front knobs, so there is no timer and no display, and the published specification lists no flame-failure safety, which makes it the wrong cooker for a household that insists on that. It comes set for cylinder gas, converts to natural gas through the technician, and carries the 5-year Military Production warranty.
