Not every kitchen needs a built-in hob. The Noor GS-FLS 2 SI is a two-burner stainless steel table hob that stands on the counter, connects to a cylinder by hose, and needs no cut-out, no cabinet, no fitter and no electricity. The SI in the code means self-ignition: both burners light at the knob with no matches, no batteries and no socket. The two burners are different sizes, a larger one for pots and a smaller one for tea and sauces, and the nickel-plated anti-rust pan supports lift off for washing. It is the obvious answer as a first hob for a small flat, a second cooking point in a busy kitchen or a chalet cooker. Be clear about the limits before you buy: there is no flame-failure safety on this hob, so nothing stops the gas if a pot boils over the flame and it must be watched while lit.
