A ceiling-mounted access point from the TP-Link Omada line, made for a shop floor, a clinic or an office room that the router alone does not reach. Model EAP110 gives 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz from 2 internal antennas, handles more than 100 connected devices and carries a published coverage figure of 60 square metres. It fixes to a ceiling or a wall and is powered over the network cable by the PoE adapter in the box. Two things to know before buying: it uses 24 V passive PoE, so it will not take power from a standard 802.3af switch, and it works on 2.4 GHz only. It carries a 1 year local warranty.
