The VGR V-998 is a light 160 g trimmer that punches above its price thanks to titanium-coated stainless steel blades and a genuinely long battery. A 1200 mAh cell delivers up to 180 minutes of cutting and needs only about an hour and a half to refill / and the LED screen shows the exact battery percentage so you know before you start whether you can finish the haircut. Four guide combs at 1 / 3 / 5 and 7 mm plus the 0.5–7 mm cutting range handle everything from short fades to a tidy beard trim / and the trimmer can also run plugged in if the battery dies mid-cut. Protective cap / cleaning brush and oil are supplied. Tip: brush the blade clean and add a drop of oil after each haircut so the titanium coating keeps gliding.
