View Sound Column Speaker, 20 W, White, D-302

The View Sound D-302 is a 20 W column loudspeaker built around several drivers stacked vertically in a slim enclosure. That arrangement produces a wide horizontal spread but a tightly controlled vertical pattern, so sound is aimed at the congregation rather than at the ceiling and floor. The result is far better speech intelligibility in reverberant spaces than an ordinary box speaker delivers, which is why column speakers are the standard choice for mosque prayer halls, churches, conference rooms, lecture theatres, airports, stations, marble-floored lobbies and long corridors. It runs on a two-wire 100 V line loop from a mixer amplifier, so several columns can share a single amplifier. Mount it vertically on the wall above head height and tilt it slightly downward toward the seated audience.
