Zanussi's Cool Cast is a 90 cm family cooker built to take punishment. Five gas burners spread across a brushed stainless top plate, one large centre burner for deep pots with four graded burners around it, and two spider cast iron pan supports cover the whole surface. Full safety is fitted throughout, with thermocouple flame failure on hob, oven and grill, and push-button ignition on the burners and the oven. The full-width gas oven has two fans, a cooking fan spreading heat through the cavity and a cooling fan keeping the body and door cool, with a separately controlled gas grill above running a motorised turnspit for chicken and kebab. Timing is a knob timer with an alert rather than a digital screen. Model ZCG91236XA takes cylinder or natural gas through its two inlets once the service centre changes the injectors, and comes with a wire shelf, tray, skewer, tempered glass lid, warmer drawer and a detachable glass door.
